Chris Pope

General Manager Events, Catering and Residences

Chris’s formative experience is as a Head Chef and prior to his role at Murray Edwards, he worked as Head of Catering and Executive Chef for Delia Smith at Norwich City Football Club. He has also worked at the House of Commons, on the Cunard QE II and for the 5 star Intercontinental Hotel Group.

Events Team

Freya Vaughan

Marketing & Events Officer

As well as marketing the events facilities, Freya also deputises for the Events Manager. Freya has a decade of experience of conferencing and events in Cambridge and ensures the team is committed to a process of continuous improvement of our services.

Ben Rampillon

AV Technician

Our on-site A.V. Technician Ben holds a DUT GEII – French two-year Diploma from the University of Angers Institute of Technology in Electrical Engineering and Industrial Computing – and also has four years’ experience as an AV Technician at Satel Audiovisuel in Angers.

Molly-Rose Galloway

Events Assistant

Our Event Assistant Molly took up her new role at the beginning of 2018, moving from the College’s Catering Department where she worked as a Trainee Supervisor.She has also worked at an independent clothes shop as a retail assistant.

Louise Segar

Events Administrator

Louise joined the team as Events Administrator in Autumn 2018 following many years’ experience of working in an administrative role in a wide range of settings, from oil refineries to hospitals. Her in-depth knowledge of office systems and keen attention to detail is a great asset to the team, ensuring that the best possible service is delivered to both internal and external clients.

Catering Team

Teri Byrne

Catering Operations Manager

Our Catering Manager Teri Byrne previously worked in events at Newmarket Race Course, managing functions such as Newmarket Nights, as well as corporate functions and private parties. Highly focused and determined for clients to receive the best possible service from our staff, Teri and her team apply their organisational expertise and attention to detail to all events at the College.

Joe Dean

Head Chef

Our ambitious team of chefs is lead by Joe Dean, who previously worked as head chef at luxury hotel chain Hotel du Vin. Committed to providing interesting and modern food, responsibly sourced, Joe and his team create beautiful, seasonal fine dining dishes and conference buffet options.
